The young talent that has been brought into the organisation is put through an extensive Learning and Development programme. The intention behind this is to prepare and groom them well enough to face the harsh realities and challenges of the corporate world. Be it strategizing, decision-making or negotiating, she/he should be a go-getter in all respects.

A well-scheduled induction program is organized for the trainees. The organisation’s vision, culture and values are instilled in them, as the organisation believes that imbibing these values early will be a stepping-stone to the success of an individual’s career.

Josts’ induction programme gives the new entrant an overview of the businesses that Josts is into, knowledge about the products and the services offered by Josts.

The learning lessons on strategy, decision-making, financial implications,      communication, behavioural skills are some of the sessions that a new entrant is exposed to and are made interactive.
 

Mentoring is a process which fosters learning and development by providing constant guidance and coaching as they learn and grow in the organization.  A periodic review takes place in the form of assessment, on the pre set performance parameters and also by a personal interview.

All put together, it helps in judging their performance.

This measurement also helps in identifying gaps for there further development and thereby provides opportunities in the form of job rotation, management exposure and learning and development.

The Performance Management System of Josts is based on Balanced Score Card, which focuses on four important aspects of the business i.e. Financial Objective, Customer, Internal Processes and Learning and Growth. The Performance is assessed on these parameters across the organization on quarterly basis and the performers are rewarded quarterly on the basis of their performance and ultimately for their contribution to success to our organization.

An in-house magazine called In-Josh is published on quarterly basis and it shares the latest happenings within the organisation. It is also a platform for Josts’ leaders to interact on the challenges and opportunities of the future. They share their perspectives and strategies and address queries and concerns of their team members. The performers share their success stories and their experiences, which is both information and inspiration to other members.

At Josts, employees are not limited to their desks. Life here is full with events all through the year to keep the employees charged and to give them the work life balance from the otherwise hectic and monotonous work life.

The belief is that events inculcate a feeling of oneness amongst the members while they celebrate or participate in the events together.
